Poem 9: Pantoum

I laugh, I hate, I love, I cry
I dance when no one's watching.
I played with dolls, dressed up, and made mud pies
And say things without thinking

I dance when on one's watching
I feel jealous too
And say things without thinking
I'm just a regular girl like you.

I feel jealous too
I think of boys as well
I'm just a regular girl like you
And my best friends only time will tell

I think of boys as well
I played with dolls dressed up and made mud pies
And my best friends, only time will tell,
I laugh, I hate, I love, I cry.

Title:Just like you
Style of poem: Pantoum
Inspiration: I'm not different, and no other girl is. I'm just explaning how I feel, and how most of us feel. And that's what I talk about in this poem. It was also one of my favourite poems to write.

Poem 8: Cinquain

Best friends
Are forever
They love you inside out
You're not just friends, but sisters
For life

Poem 6: Model Poem

All that is gold does not glitter,
Not all those who wander are lost;
The old that is strong does not wither,
Deep roots are not reached by the frost.

From the ashes a fire shall be woken,
A light from the shadows shall spring;
Renewed shall be blade that was broken,
The crownless again shall be king.

John Ronald Reuel Tolkien

All bad things come to a end,
Not everything lasts forever;
The wounds shall heal, and hearts will mend,
Deep thoughts will eventually come together.

From a distance it may seem a lifetime
A road too long to take;
Renewed steps taken one at a time.
The bad will soon fade away.

Title: All bad things come to an end
Style of poem: Model Poem
Inspiration: How nothing lasts forever, so you shouldn't worry.

Poem 5: Concrete Poem

Title:The peaceful tree
Style of poem: Concrete Poem
Inspiration: At the begininng I didnt really have an inspiration. I chose the tree because it was easy to draw .. But then I realised that the tree was actually a good thing to write about. Trees are a beautiful part of nature, and are thought of as peaceful, majestic, and proud.

Poem 4: Shakespearean Sonnet

He's there to guide her; he's there to care,
But she's growing up too fast for him.
Not much longer has he wisdom to share
With all the years flying right past him.
She looks up to him, and hopes to make proud.
And only in his arms she feels safest.
He's strict and tough, but her head's in the clouds
All he wants is her future be brightest.
But soon she'll grow up, and go her own way.
She will have a job and a family.
Yet all he taught her, stays 'till that day.
An honest and caring mother to be.
From miles away, or houses apart,
She'll always be his little girl at heart.

Title: Little girl
Style of poem: Shakespearean Sonnet
Inspiration: I really liked the flow of this style of poetry. I wanted to write something deep, and has meaning to me. In this poem I describe the relationship about me and my dad since we are really close.

Poem 3: Metaphor Poem

Sleep is heaven, simple and pretty like that happy place above.
Clouds; the dreams, fluffy, unclear at times.
Worry free, problems vanished, just the sweetness of the angels' song. Compelling fantasies which only the mind can create.

Title: Sleep is heaven
Style of poem: Metaphor Poem
Inspiration: I chose sleep because it is one of my favourite things to do. It's also something easy to write about and compare.
